About us
What are we about?
Essex Woodcarvers are a group of people who are keen to maintain and develop the art and skill of all forms of woodcarving. We were established over 30 years ago. Our members are a diverse bunch with an overriding passion for woodcarving. We range from absolute beginners through to professional carvers. The club has a wealth of experience and knowledge across a broad range of woodcarving styles from light relief carving through to in the round carving.
This website serves to showcase our members carvings and hopefully inspire others to give it a go.

Our members are keen to pass on experience and skills.

We have sets of tools that you can use whilst at our club meetings together with small pieces of wood (available at nominal cost) that you can use on one of our starter projects.
